Top Tips for a Successful Party

Choose your date carefully

Avoid clashes with other events ie. school fetes, local festivals, other parties and holidays etc.

Check availability of the Entertainer before you book a venue.

Book a venue - Church Hall, Village Hall, Pub room or other venue.

A party at home restricts the party activities and creates more stress and mess for you.

Share the Party costs

Find a friend with a party around the same time and double up.

Try not to over-cater. Keep the food simple.

Consider preparing in advance, individual meal boxes. Children depend less on the adults, it's easier to clean up and cheaper.

Children do not eat much or for very long at parties. Fruit like grapes and raisins etc are always popular and healthy.

Tie balloons to the door or gate to guide us and your guests to the Party.

Get contact numbers from parents who are not staying, in case of emergencies.

Get approval for Face Painting from all parents.

Stick name badges on each Party guest.

Save opening the presents until after the Party and make a Thank You List of who sent what.

Encourage the adult guests to watch and participate particularly during Circus Games and Art Activities as children will need help using the equipment and tools.

Gently remind the adults to keep quiet during Circus Workshop demonstrations and the Children's Circus Show. It is distracting for the children and more parties are spoilt by the din of chattering adults than for any other reason.

Keep hold of children under 3 years during the Circus Workshop demonstration and the Children's Circus Show.

They love to pick up the games and easily disrupt the activities often upsetting the children performing during their 'moment of glory'.

Please don't serve drinks, ice-cream, cakes or sweets during the Circus Workshop.

Most of the food will end on the floor and the equipment ends up sticky.

Avoid elimination games for younger children if planning your own games as they are easily upset.

Please supervise young children if using Party Poppers

Remember they are fireworks and have been known to burn.

Save party horns and squeakers until the end of the party.
